Speed up startup
Hardware / browser side
- Enable hardware acceleration in your browser settings.
- Audit extensions. New-tab-overriding extensions may conflict with Raisu.
- We recommend 8 GB+ RAM and SSD storage. Old HDDs slow first paint considerably.
- Keep your browser up to date (Chrome / Edge / Firefox / Safari).
Raisu side
- Keep background images under ~2 MB at roughly 1-2× monitor resolution. Oversized images delay IndexedDB reads.
- Lower the history cap to what you actually need (History app → settings). Even on Pro, 1000-2000 entries is usually plenty.
- Uninstall mini-apps you don't use (Settings → Apps). Fewer dock items = less rendering work.
- Don't aggressively clear browser site data — Raisu rebuilds caches on each start otherwise.
- After language or settings changes, a hard reload (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R) ensures everything refreshes.
